Force Users to auto log-off of Windows XP

Posted by: Neil In: tech

I had a friend recently ask me how to get XP to log off a user automatically after a certain amount of inactivity. So, I figured I would take a look around and find the solution for him.

Windows 2003 Resource Kit has a screen saver that does just what he needed. Check out the Microsoft KB article that describes how to set it all up.

  • Neil: @SM... great tips to make it simpler to connect. I think I'll be using them myself. I've actually been out of touch with ShoreTe
  • SM: Actually, You can telnet to shoretel switches from any PC you choose. (As long as you can see the switch and you have access to run ipbxctl.exe) Eithe
  • Neil: AJ... did you try to enable telnet from the Director server? I believe it can only be done from there.
