		<description>Had tried to install IE7 many times on an XP Pro, SP2. Read advice here and there at no avail. Always it ended up with a message that installation had failed, and then I was asked to do a restart to return XP to IE6.

I just copied Your &quot;secedit&quot;-command for XP Pro into &quot;Run&quot; and as was said before, 10 minutes later it was fixed.

Install of IE7 went then on to a successful end.

....going on mostly using Firefox...
